Lodging
We have made preliminary lodging arrangements, reserving blocks of rooms at three Lincoln hotels. Please contact the hotel directly, mentioning the math conference. Please do let us know if you reserve a room at one of these places, because we may want to increase the number blocked off.
The distance listed is to Oldfather Hall, where the Math-Stat Department is housed. At this point we do not know where on campus the meetings will be held, but it should not make much difference in the distances. The major speakers will be staying at the Cornhusker Hotel.
The Holiday Inn (the closest hotel of the three; 0.6 mile) Telephone 402–475–4011 Conference rate $79 per night for up to four people (walk-in rate $99) Cut off date for the ten rooms blocked off is April 13.
The Cornhusker (Lincoln's more elegant hotel; 0.7 mi) Telephone 402–472–7474 Conference rate $89 per night (walk-in rate over $109) Ten rooms blocked
The Townhouse Motel (a simpler place, but with suites and kitchens; 1 mile) Telephone 402–475–3000 Conference rate $43 per night for single or $50 double. The doubles have separate rooms with shared kitchen and bath. Seven single rooms are blocked, of which 2 are smoking; eight double rooms are blocked, of which 2 are smoking.
The Embassy Suites 402–474–1111 is another possibility. They open May 1, but might allow a few guests on a sort of "trial basis".
