Assistant Professor Kazuo Yamazaki earned his Ph.D. in the area of Applied Mathematics from Oklahoma State University, and then he was a postdoctoral scholar at Washington State University and the University of Rochester. Subsequently, he was a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University for four years. His work is in the area of analysis of partial differential equations in hydrodynamics, mathematical physics, and infectious diseases with tools mainly from harmonic analysis and stochastic analysis.
