Freshman Eastman Scholarship Form | Department of Mathematics

Incoming first-year Mathematics and CAS Data Science majors who have graduated from a Nebraska high school are invited to apply for the Dean H. and Floreen G. Eastman Scholarship, which can award around $20,000 over a four-year period. The department awards several of these prestigious scholarships to incoming first-year students with Mathematics or CAS Data Science declared as a major. This scholarship awards up to $5,000 for the first year at UNL, and students can re-apply every year for up to a total of four years. After completing an application for admission to NEBRASKA, all incoming first-year Mathematics and CAS Data Science majors are encouraged to apply by clicking the link below. The application period for the 2026-27 academic year is now open. The priority deadline for applications is Friday, January 9, 2026, and applications will be considered on a rolling basis until March 1, 2026.
