Kristen Amman, assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics, has received the Edgerton Junior Faculty Award from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The award honors an outstanding junior faculty member who has demonstrated creative research, extraordinary teaching abilities, and academic promise.
Amman's research focuses on how undergraduate students perceive and experience learning across the mathematics curriculum, especially how students relearn familiar content, such as in repeated calculus courses or math courses designed for future teachers.
