Congratulations to Yvonne Lai who was elected to be the next vice president of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA)! She will take office July 1 of next year.
Lai is Milton E. Mohr Professor and Graduate Chair in the Department of Mathematics, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. She has held several leadership roles in the MAA, including chair of MAA’s Committee on the Mathematical Education of Teachers (COMET) and co-founder of the SIGMAA on Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching (SIGMAA-MKT).
The Mathematical Association of America is the world’s largest community of mathematicians, students, and enthusiasts.
