Audrey (they/them/theirs) is in their 5th year in the math PhD program at UNL. They're studying Geometric Group Theory under Susan Hermiller and Mark Brittenham, in particular Thompson's group and its connection to knot theory. Audrey decided to apply to UNL after attending the 2019 NCUWM. They organize the Matemáticas seminar, which focuses on improving attendees' abilities to communicate about math in Spanish. Outside of math, Audrey crochets, boulders, and is a proud cat parent.
