Tatum Rask is a fifth-year doctoral student at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Her research interests are in applied topology, mainly focusing on theoretical underpinnings of persistent homology. Her favorite thing about her research is how it blends many types of math, including combinatorics, algebra, category theory, and of course, topology! Outside of math, Tatum is an enthusiastic trail runner and volunteers with food security advocacy organizations.
