I'm from Lincoln, Nebraska.
What gets you excited about Math?
I get really excited when I'm able to finally solve a problem after countless attempts. Seeing the final result is really satisfying to me.
Favorite math class or instructor? Why?
I absolutely loved MATH 310 (Modern Algebra) with Robert Ruyle. This was my first proof-based class and Bob's approach to teaching was amazing. I loved how much he cared about his students and got to know everyone on a first-name basis.
What are you excited about doing after graduation?
I am excited to be looking for full-time positions in the Lincoln and Omaha area working in analytics.
What is a goal you have accomplished as a Husker?
I was a trumpet player for the Cornhusker Marching Band for four years, which is something I wanted to do for a long time. I'm proud to be a member of such an amazing organization!
What do you hope to cross off your “bucket list” in the next few years?
I would love to travel more in the next few years. I've been to Europe, and I'd love to go back or possibly visit Australia or Asia.
