Transportation to Lincoln

The conference is expected to begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 20 (with on-site check-in starting at 1 p.m.) and it will end by 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 22. You should make your travel plans in such a way that you can be here for the entire conference. If you are flying into Lincoln, then you will be taking the Embassy Suites shuttle to the hotel from the airport so you can drop off your luggage before the conference starts and check-in at registration. We expect the hotel shuttle will be waiting at the airport for each flight. If the shuttle is not there, the Embassy Suites has a courtesy phone by the baggage claim area that you can use to call to request a shuttle. If you are staying at another hotel, you may need to use Uber to get from the airport to the hotel.

Flights into Lincoln, Neb., are available from United.

There are also many flights available in and out of Omaha (occasionally you can find flights into Omaha which are significantly less expensive than flights into Lincoln). There are shuttle services that will transport you from Omaha Eppley Airport to the Embassy Suites Lincoln: Leisure Limousine and OmaLink. The cost of a roundtrip can vary, but be prepared to pay $170 for a roundtrip. You may also rent a car for the weekend. While you are required to cover the expense at the time of the conference, you may request travel assistance.

If you're driving, Lincoln is right off Interstate 80.

Driving in Lincoln

If you're driving into Lincoln, you will most likely be coming in from I-80. It will be easiest to take the Downtown Lincoln exit, which gets you onto I-180. I-180 becomes 9th street, and you're on the grid. To get to the Embassy Suites, you will turn left on P Street and go two blocks to the front drive of the hotel at 1040 P Street.

Faculty Hotel Reservations

Faculty must make their own arrangements with the hotel. If you wish, you can contact the hotel directly at (402) 474-1111, and ask for 'in-house reservations.' Be sure to indicate you are with NCUWM and group code WIM for the conference room rates. Or, you can make a reservation online, by clicking here. All reservations must be secured with a credit card. If you would like to stay at Holiday Inn Express and Suites or the Courtyard Marriott instead, please email us at ncuwm@unl.edu.
